From Tumour Genesis to Metastasis:

an immune perspective

The Beatson International Cancer Conference series is designed to be a relaxed and friendly meeting where delegates and invited speakers have a chance to interact on a scientific basis. Organised by the CRUK Scotland Institute, we look forward to welcoming you to this event in Glasgow, Scotland.

About the conference

The immune system is a critical component of cancer progression and response to therapy. Immune cells are involved in every step of tumour evolution: from the point where normal cells acquire mutations, through the outgrowth of transformed cells, to the spread of cancer cells across multiple organs, and during treatment of tumours with anti-cancer drugs. Harnessing the immune system to combat tumour growth is now commonplace in cancer therapy, underscoring the potential to manipulate immune cells for the benefit of cancer patients.

The conference aims to bring together scientists working in cancer immunology and immunotherapy to discuss new information on how immune cells participate in cancer progression and how to use new data for therapeutic purposes.

We are excited to welcome an international line-up of world-leading researchers who use a diverse range of cancer models, cutting-edge technologies and computational tools to study cancer immunology. We strongly encourage early career researchers to submit their poster and talk abstracts for consideration as soon as possible.
